Our Mission

North Expanded Bluffview Neighborhood Patrol (ENP), a nonprofit neighborhood watch group dedicated to the safety and security of our community. The visible police presence in Bluffview is a direct result of the ENP, funded entirely by the contributions of neighborhood residents.

Our ENP patrols are staffed by uniformed Dallas Police Officers driving official Dallas Police Department squad cars. Over the years, we’ve built a steady team of officers who know our neighborhood well and are familiar with ENP participants.

• Dedicated Patrol Hours: ENP patrols are conducted by Dallas Police Officers with random schedules, currently covering 10–16 hours daily.
• Faster Response Times: Officers on ENP patrol have onboard computers, enabling them to assist and respond to calls in the Bluffview ENP area quickly, often faster than other Dallas police officers.
• Direct Communication: Patrol officers carry an ENP logbook with participant addresses and contact details, ensuring they can reach homeowners when needed.
• Exclusive Access: ENP officers carry a dedicated cell phone, allowing participants to contact them directly.
• Vacation Watch: Participants can notify our Dallas Police liaison officer when they’ll be out of town. This information is added to the ENP logbook so officers can monitor your property more closely.
• Safety Awareness: ENP members receive periodic Neighborhood Incident Reports via email, sharing updates on incidents, trends, and suspicious activities in Bluffview and surrounding areas.
• Yard Signage: ENP participants are provided reflective yard signs that read, “Protected by Off-Duty Dallas Police Officers,” offering a visible deterrent to crime.
